Hey English4All fam! 👋✨
Every Friday in our Conversational Club we dive into thought-provoking questions with classmates from Colombia, Japan, Brazil, Germany—literally all over 🌍. This week’s topic is:
⚠️ “What is your biggest mistake in life to date?” 😱
1. What does the title mean? 🧐
- Biggest mistake = the most significant error, wrong decision, or regret you’ve had so far.
- To date = up until now, not forever—your life isn’t over yet! 😉
So you’re basically asking: “What is the most important thing you wish you had done differently in your life up until today?”
2. Useful vocabulary & expressions 💡
| Word / Phrase | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Regret | Feeling sorry about something you did / didn’t do | “My biggest regret is not studying English earlier.” |
| Lesson learned | Knowledge gained from a mistake | “The lesson I learned is to manage my time better.” |
| Mess up (phrasal verb) | To do something wrong | “I messed up my first job interview.” |
| Make amends | Fix the damage caused | “I apologized to make amends with my friend.” |
