Hello students of English4All! 🖐️🙂 Let’s dive into the meaning of our page title «How many/How much. Food around the world». When we say ‘how many’ or ‘how much’, we are asking about the quantity or amount of something. In English, we use ‘how many’ before plural nouns (things we can count), for example, «how many apples are there?» 🍎🍎🍎, and ‘how much’ before uncountable nouns (things we cannot count), for example, «how much water do you drink?» 💧
Our topic is about the food quantities around the world. 🌍 So, we will be discussing questions like «how many bowls of rice are eaten in China per day?» 🍚 or «how much cheese does an average French person consume in a year?» 🧀. It’s going to be a delicious discussion! 🍽️
In our Friday Conversation Club, we will share these interesting facts and figures, and also learn about different food cultures from our global classmates. So, bring your curiosity and appetite for knowledge! 📚👩🍳
Remember, keep practicing your English and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. See you all on Friday! 🗓️👋
